FS: Philharmonic BMR Monitors

Hey All,

This is the square/rectangle cabinet version in rosewood. I’m the original owner. They’re mint and have only been used in my non-smoking home. Will ship in the original boxes.

I’m selling them only because I have several pricier pairs that get more use. These are fantastic for the price.

I have them listed on USAM for $1,600 plus shipping. For folks here, I’d take $1,500 and cover the CONUS shipping and PayPal fees myself.

Dude that's a gorgeous set of speakers. Almost almost makes me consider making a trip down to the US for a border pickup... except I still have no idea how I'm going to be setting up sound for my living room yet.

 

Pictures don't do these justice. I have a set (curved satin Rosewood) and the Ayre/Phil combination makes me stay up far too late listening to music.

My only "complaint" is that they are somewhat bigger than I expected so now I want the towers because they'll be more stable on the floor :-D

 

Is the curved vs square cabinets a timeline/revision thing or just aesthetics?

Just aesthetics afaik. They are supposed to sound the same.

The guy managing sales/manufacturing for the Phils is willing to entertain custom orders for various aspects of the line as long as one is willing to pay the premium and make a deposit.

Mine are curved because that's what was available when I needed new speakers ASAP when my other ones failed.

 

These are (at least for now) still available. Yes, as far as I know the cabinets are just aesthetic. The drivers are the same.

 

I too find Ayre electronics to synergize exceedingly well with the Raal ribbons. Lots of detail but never zippy, and oh my the textures...!
