Take the feedback. It's a gentle rib that lets you know you might be overdoing it. Relax. Observe how people post. Be yourself, but try to think about what others might find interesting, and what they might find to be rambling or extraneous. If you want to write without any limits or criticism, you're welcome to start a blog and just keep a link to it in your signature.
Very very few people here have their own threads (Muppetface? Torq? Hands?) and the S:N is much higher than your thread. The posts here are the equivalent of friends pretending to fall asleep during a story to get you to speed it up. Teasing with a point.
Also, asking for it to be changed back to what you want is a surefire way to get it changed to something more ridiculous. Perhaps if you correct course a bit it will get changed to something more pleasant.
yes indeed to all of the above. the fact that you think these profile posts are private reveals just how new you are to this site. such a self-centered thread even existing is a bit mind boggling since the contents seem to skew away from being broadly useful.
the fact that a moderator has to consolidate all of your scattered replies into one post is very telling. don't worry so much about the thread title and spend more time thinking about what and how to communicate here. another guy who cares about public perception comes to mind, and you dont want to be like him unless your name rhymes with donald trump.
I am not sure anyone can relax when they are being bombarded elaborately on how he is not communicating to the site's standard. He has gotten the message (hopefully?). He is just stating a request atm. Let this be, ignore it and walk away.
