ZD, any idea when the GOV2A is going to be shipped out? I sent LH my V2 but have not heard from them except an acknowledgement of having received my unit.

    Thanks

No clue. Mine wasn't shipped out yet FWIW. I know they have the new chassis in house and are producing units.

They're already shipping, supposedly in the order they were received. I sent mine in and they received it on the 11th of July. I got it back August 14. You won't receive any type of shipping notice. It will just appear in your mailbox.

So detail and sound stage/layering and aggression is about the same across them?

Is the noise floor with IEMs just as low SE?

To me, the GO V1 line is a little "tighter and drier". With the 450 being the most neutral and the 1000 being a little bassier.

I keep a GO V1 1000 because it is a good unit and plays nicely with some of my phones. Worth keeping to me, especially for the cost/value of the unit.

The GO V2 seems to have a bit more decay and/or detail "filling in" or "connecting" the space. That makes V2 line a bit "wetter" than V1 line.

Maybe the faster/cleaner decay of the "drier" V1 line makes it seem a bit more aggressive? Not sure. You could call the V2 more "musical" from a certain point of view. If you perceive more information, you might think that is also "analytical" at the same time?

Usually "analytical" is used to describe an overall style or tonal balance and refers to the treble-to-bass relation on the forums. As in: Fun (bassier, FR slopes downward or "V"-shape) vs. Analytical (more neutral bass in relation to mids and treble quantity).

However, there might also be the decay and body characteristics that drive gear evaluation and use of these terms. When in doubt, I try to explain my use of the term and where I am coming from. (What does "warm" mean to you, for example?)

looking forward to CeeTee's GO2A arriving someday to add to the impressions above!

my new GO2A (standard, not Infinity version) is fully warmed up, and with balanced cable to HE400S (Focus A pads) it's the sweetest small rig, work set up.
with the 2A slight "step back" in staging (compare to GOV2) , and separation (due to blacker background) have less need to hook up a Vali2 (via single ended) IMO.

    Hi,
Sorry for that I insist to use our best engineer who also assemble DaVinci DAC to finish up the GO2A for our wonderful users.
We will complete another 80 in next 10 days and ship it out right away.
I spent quite sometime with the new ZRB cap. It really helps to make background darker.
And single-ended output now is in the very nice sweet spot.

Does anyone have experience with LH customer support? I opened a ticket about the status of my pre-ordered V2+ 10 days ago and haven't received a response. Do LH just not have CS standards? Or is their ticket system broken?

Guys, I am looking for a DAC to feed my Corda Jazz. The only Geek Out unit available in Germany is the IEM100 (99€). Is it a good idea to use its 47 Ohm output as lineout for my Jazz?

From memory GO100 outpt was 1.3vrms, which may affect volume on your Jazz. GO450 would probably be more suitable for line out at 2.65vrms (if you can find one...)

I barely pass 12 o'clock on the Jazz on high gain with a 2V DAC, so a little less voltage might not be that bad. I'm just worried about double-amping.

I ran a GO450 with a Pico Power as my transportable setup for a while and didn't perceive any detriment due to 'double amping'.

I still haven't gotten a response since asking about my EMI and noise floor issues a week ago...
