Man, the GOV2 got warm but the GO2a is hot to the touch. Exceptional sound though.

Yep, I understand why they looked at other materials for the case. They should develop an accessory bolt-on heat-sink :).

dammit man. mine is at the office with no pics until Tuesday.

I bet someone at the Marvey Mini Meet of Madness has one?
if not, I will use my USB-de-jittered Uber iPhone to take a sdpif-chain photo only of the casing and post here.
(if still needed in 72 hours.)

Oh damn, that actually looks really nice. Hopefully the buttons, LEDs and jacks are as resilient as the chassis...

Wow. Looks gorgeous. Is this same size as GO1000? Look identical size with GS1000 and slightly smaller than GOV2.

I've never used any other GO DACs than the GOV2/GO2a, so I can't compare.

Is the GO2a available for purchase as a finished product? As opposed to having a GOV2 and sending it in to be upgraded to a GO2a.

They claim they'll be on the market within 2 weeks but I *highly highly* doubt that. I also heard they're debuting it at an electronics show soon. They'll be $299.99.

Right now my V2 (original) is warping and looks like it's trying to come apart. I want to trade it in for a replacement 2A. If they'll exchange it or give me a reduced rate, I'd probably end up doing it.

I literally may have no choice but to upgrade. I have a second V2 that is starting to split at the bottom seam in between the jacks. I'm scared if I let it go, it'll continue to split and eventually come apart completely.

If it falls apart it's covered under the warranty.

If you have trouble, post details back here. The casing is definitely covered under warranty. That being said, I'd take the upgrade over just getting a repair.

Got my GO V2+ today and so far its been pretty awesome with my HE400S and UE900 (both SE from my iPhone 6S)! The case on mine doesn't seem to have any issues which is good. Had to do a little bit of research and find out some details for charging, the manual doesn't mention that when done charging the green LED turns off, and I wanted to find the charging spec to make sure it was safe to use my battery pack with it (1.0 A @ 5V is what it wants), once I found these out I was off to the races.

I will post back once I have done some more listening for better impressions. Now I just need my cable supplies to get here so I can make some TRRS adapters!
