Wow, yt has a limter at 16khz. All of these years I thought I was hearing limited due to yt hearing tests

*Low pass filter. And that’s a well-intended video with some misleading explanations. Higher frequency processing prevents aliasing! Those extra harmonics can lead to extra imd though from non-band limited non-linear processing. That itself is not aliasing where moire images reflect off dc and the upper nyquist limit.

I don't claim expertise... but was puzzled by the discussion of producing or hearing a square wave at all. Square waves are surely a limiting case, like a frictionless surface or a benevolent government.

@Gazny similarly, 15kHz lowpass on all U.S. FM radio. But still sounds acceptable to most!
