I think it is a good all-rounder for gaming and music. Does not replace HD650 for smoothness and refinement with right setup, but could be better than Momentum. Have not heard those in a while.
The Momentum4s have the option of feeding power from external amp, which improve the refinement. I can feel that they have made an effort for it provide a full sound. Definitely worth the asking price. Build quality is great too.
... So compared to others, the M4s strength is its ability to hide all the grey background which is common with mid tier gear. Also, dynamic bass. Only slightly rounded. The DSP is good on these, not perfect. I'll take a listen to these Audeze phones when they become available here.
The Maxwell, can not be improved by an external amp. It goes through ADC. Best sound is with digital connection. You are talking about Momentum Wireless, that I have not tried.
The Maxwell is also rather bulky and heavy, but has a very good tuning for a sealed headphone. Not just a gaming headset. It has the benefits of a planar, but also the negatives.
