Hope you’ll land on your feet. I hate this time of year, whether times are good or bad, because even if you find yourself safe you discover some people are not. And it always diminishes everyone.

Having a mid-life crisis which manifested as emigrating worked for me.

Probably not a one-size-fits-all solution. But having a crazy idea and doing it might be on the options list.

27 years at one place is a long time, not many people do that anymore. Hope you can find something to get you through to where you don't have to work for anyone any more.
