Maybe only tangentially related, but I vaguely recall when I installed my Prism Lyra drivers, I had to do a full remove and reinstall with the Schiit Wyrd inline first before it would work.
Thankfully the Callia was just plug & play with Win 11 and Mac and everything worked fine without extra driver installs. But the URD's Unison out just doesn't seem to recognize Callia's USB...
The Callia's USB is finicky. On Windows it definitely works best with its ASIO driver - feeding it WASAPI either makes it sound out-and-out broken or causes some minor weirdness, depending on the player and files.
So I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were some sort of incompatibility with Urd feeding it, since Callia very much cares how it's being fed on Windows.
Thanks for the input. Callia is my first Prism product, and aside from this Urd compatibility issue, I'm really pleased with it. Sadly, I'm not holding out much hope that Prism will even care to look into this on one of their older products.
I've actually had very good customer service from Prism... but I was also reviewing the Callia at the time so maybe I got "special treatment". Also, solving tech difficulties when you have another manufacturer's product directly in the connection chain is definitely beyond that they would reasonably help out with.
Yes, that sounds about right. Schiit basically gave me the "Dunno, probably Prism's issue..." response, and I'm expecting Prism to volley me back to Schiit. As for drivers, I'm trying to feed directly from Urd's USB out to Callia... would a driver install address that? Otherwise, I know I'm running Callia's latest firmware.
At this point it wouldn't hurt to try the drivers. Leave the Urd plugged in but disconnect Callia. Install driver. Plug in Callia to Urd when prompted and it should finish the rest of the install. Knock on wood and hope that works?
