They refunded me both times, and screwed over the seller of course. So I didn't loose money, but it sucks for the seller and if it's a rare tube, you've lost it, plus it's just sad to see rare NOS tubes thrown away. :(
Because of all the extra things that can go wrong, I rarely sell on eBay internationally, but it is extra annoying how 'ship global' seems to be their obscured UI default now. Probably because eBay's best days are behind them?
Happens to items from the US too. They also confiscate small model engines; Tell you it's illegal to ship and then re-auction the items locally to cover their costs. Ask your local postal service if it's illegal and they'll tell you 'no, as long as you declare it.'
