Bought back-ordered item on 4/1. Item advertised w/ "Free 1-2 Day Shipping". Made the order, selected the only "Free Shipping" option available at checkout.
After 17 days, finally receive shipping alert. Noticed HeadAmp shipped item via slowest, cheapest USPS Ground. Contact HeadAmp as to why it did not ship via advertised 1 or 2 day option, perhaps honest mistake?
Justin (the owner) responds in minutes, telling me it was my fault for selecting "Free Shipping". I respond back with pic of their checkout, which only offers one 'Free Shipping' option, plus product page showing promise of Free 1 or 2 day shipping on said item. Now all I get is radio silence, feeling like my comms now being ignored.
Honestly not frustrated at slower shipping speed. Just the rudeness, dishonesty. I'd recommend taking your business elsewhere - I've had much better service from bloom audio, headphones.com.
Tons of boilerplate "we care about & respect our customers" marketing BS all over their recently revamped website and email marketing to boot. LOLZ, because none of it rang true in my recent interaction with them.
I ordered a Gilmore Lite Mk2 Golden Reference power supply from them a few years back and also had an unpleasant series of interactions, so I'm not surprised, unfortunately.
I find that the more a company has to "advertise" their supposedly phenomenal customer service, the less phenomenal it tends to be. Sorry about your experience.
I bought a Aeon 2 directly from Headamp since I really liked the Aeon. Their return policy was 60 days which was great. I listened to the headphones for a few days and decided it wasn't for me. I sent an email telling them I wanted to start a RMA and they asked "Why!? What's wrong with them?". I told them I didn't like it. Then follow up email made me feel like I was being interrogated for a crime.
Maybe you were supposed to select 2 day even though there was a cost associated, which would have been zeroed at the end of checkout….but then, maybe you were supposed to read minds ;)
@crenca - Mind-reading would come in handy, ha. I definitely wondered if I missed something, so I double-checked before reaching out. Turns out, they offer not just 1 or 2 but *7* different 1 or 2 day shipping options for that item - none free, and ranging from $17 to $96. Honestly, a simple explanation or apology would have gone a long way, but from what I can tell, that's not how they handle business.
