    Classic platter, periphery ring, rim drive. I also changed to the Avenger motor just before then. And I have a Transfiguration Axia to put in, but I want to let everything settle before I do that. And I got a Fozgometer to measure azimuth, and a usb microscope for SRA. And ultrasonic cleaning. Whew.

    Nice. Now which of those made the darkness go away? :) I think Classic platter and ring mainly? What do you feel is gained with the rim drive?

    I think it was a combination, though the platter is bright by itself. I actually liked the 1/3 delrin /1/3 metal platter more, but i wanted to tinker with the periphery ring. The rim drive just adds pace and stability.
