For about half an hour I was underwhelmed by the Atticus... until I realized I was using MP3s instead of FLAC. Now it's singing... I'm going to need more time for impressions, but... if it was $600, I'd buy it instantly. The HD650 is such a good value that I'm a bit jaded, but these are tickling me the right way.

Take your time :) I was really hoping to find a distributor in the EU, but I think I'm really out of luck. Meaning the Atticus would cost me about 1300 dollars/euro's to get to The Netherlands... Ouch. I would still love to know how the Atticus compares to the HD650 though and I guess many on the forum would too. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! I've been away for a little while but just read your comparison. I think considering the price that I won't jump on the Atticus just yet. But the fact that they have accurate staging and great bass seems very appealing to me!
