Discogs has lots of cheap stuff (less than the cost of even slow shipping). A lot of vendors have a single shipping fee if you buy multiple CDs from them.

Goodwill stores can be hit or miss and usually don't have much but they're cheap. Thrift stores. Local independent record stores usually have a decent cd collection.

Update: I ended up going to Planet Records in Cambridge, MA and they had a great selection and I found some good stuff.

@joch it's weird because it's both. Om one hand I became much harder to impress and I just don't care about most new product launches, but occasionally something rolls in where I am consumed by the urge to buy (Supernaut).

Still love my old GS/A1. Even the Wavelight couldn't quite replace it

Love A2. It's the jacuzzi I jump into when I get worn out on A1/GS, which is the main swimming pool

Really sad to see this one go, especially as it was purely a parts availability decision. I haven’t heard the A2 but the A1 is astonishing and helped bring a lot of people into the high end without taking out a second mortgage.

Depends on the day, tbh. 3F and Utopia is most technically impressive and engaging, Atrium is most analog and natural, VC Blackwood is woody, warm, and rich, JAR6XXB is spacious, sweet, and velvety. They're all so good!

What did you do to the T50rp ?

@JK47 I had previously completely covered all of the vents in the baffle with electrical tape, but I poked a few holes in the ones toward the back. This reduced the bass and evened out the frequency response. It also seems to have reduced overall distortion, because everything seems cleaner and better separated with a more defined soundstage.

Currently redoing my MK3's. the pleather Dekoni ear pads and headband have started to disintegrate. The left channel bass has started to to grow excessive, most likely due to a leak in the mini-XLR jack I installed. Currently enjoying my RP-kit w/ Mr. Speaker Alpha dog pads, w/hd650 foam to tame treble. Will do write up in next few weeks

My initial reaction was "who?". After skimming that thread it gradually turned into an "eww".

I struggle to understand how someone would remotely find this acceptable. Especially when done to some of the best people in our community.

JAR6xx V1 w/ covers - This is my favorite JAR6xxxx. This version shifts the tonality of the HD6xx in the direction of the HD600, but not nearly as forward in many areas. I still prefer the JAR600 v1 for a lot of music I listen to, but I prefer this version for hip-hop and electronic forward pop. I also like my HE6SE, and it was damned cheap and is made well enough IMO. I don't really have a huge beef with the build quality of other current HFM either. They could be more lux, yes, but almost all of them are light and comfortable and that counts for a lot, too. I know HFM aren't much repped on SBAF, and the constant new models is corny, but I wouldn't discount them.

Any of you chaps heard the sundara closed backs ? Recently were $229 on sale...

Their house sound (for the current affordable models) is just not my cup of tea. Too much focus on treble. I did like the Arya Stealth for its technical prowess, but personally, I’d have to EQ it.
