Not bringing much confidence to this sale with literally zero information, images, etc. I get it these sell themselves, except when they are susceptible to issues and not being made or serviced anymore.

 

Well being a rando, I can understand your point of view, but it's flawed and presumptuous.

There is a certain shorthand vets have on here about posting FS ads... we've generated enough goodwill where we can do things like not post pictures upfront if we know we're not selling banged up gear that has issues. Of course anyone who needs pictures can request via PM and I'll send them.

Sure you have rules here, like not buying gear from another member and selling outside the community. I see you have the same ad posted on Head-fi for the same price:

So asking some basic background questions is not presumptuous. I have seen long time members get banned or kicked out for not being forthcoming. If you don't want to answer to a "Rando" perhaps a veteran will get more headway.

I tried to become a non-random but the system does not seem to recognize my contributions in posts and such. You want to tell me to f**k off, then just say it. I won't mind.

There is nothing difficult about this, I seem to recall a blow up over a recently sold DSHA, all I was asking for was transparency. It’s become a bigger issue than it should be, seems like the groupthink mentality is now kicking in.

 

Either ask questions about the item, buy, or move on. It was a legitimate question to ask if there is anything wrong, but you asked straight up if the item was “busted” straight off. There were less than 100 Black Widow 2’s made and even more rare now to see one for sale. But there are plenty of units out there. They are solid amps.

 

I am trying to move on, yet this whole crowd feels the need to jump on my back for asking a legitimate question. You all pride yourselves on being straight forward and thick skinned, yet this responses and not liking how I asked the question prove otherwise. I get it, ya all want to jump in to defend a fellow member, Yet the question remains as it was a simple yes or no question that has gone unanswered.

So you all know, I am well aware of the rarity of the BW2, I also own one and also know that many units suffered issues due to the board design as mentioned throughout the the thread here on SBAF.
I would like to get a back up unit in case mine goes kaput, and would not like to end up with a dud.

I will stop responding if y'all get off my back about a simple question about transparency, regardless of how it was posed.

 

How it is posed IS the issue and then the lack of awareness after it’s pointed out to you. It’s not being thin skinned, more about politeness and self awareness.

So if that’s the impression you intended to put out there, then expect others to react negatively to it. Meaning, being a mostly a stranger around here and responding to a FS ad asking if it’s “busted”, and then you keep responding saying we are the ones with the problem is going to get the reactions you get.
