FS: Black Diamond, rare acrylic case

Picked this up from a fellow pirate; I specifically wanted one of these pre-production builds as the through-hole layout made it much simpler to modify. In the end, only 2 mods were needed to make this amp quite unique, and a stellar performer. Here's what I did:

1. Replace the stock regulators with a couple of Belleson regulators.
2. Upgraded some wiring with 23ga soft annealed silver interconnect wire.

This Black Diamond build came with a high quality 'switcher' supply. Without the reg upgrade, it performed fairly damn good. You can read impressions here or there on Chang or HF. With the reg upgrade, this BD is one of, if not the best performing BD's you can get.

I had no intention to sell this amp. Being one of the acrylic prototypes of an amp that's not made anymore, with the performance achieved... Sigh. Bottom line - I just can't keep them all. So, if you've wanted a BD, and you'd like to hear this fantastic circuit of Dougs with ultra clean power, here it is.

I'll upload some pictures later today, but I'm making it available to SBAF peeps for $850 all in; I cover paypal fees and shipping to the US. This covers what I paid + new Bellesons, etc.

Argh, too late it is lol , at least i can save this fund for an EC amps in the future .

 

Jesus crust, i stalk the FS thread multiple times per day and i still missed this one. God damn. It came out at 3am in the morning in my part of the world. Damn.
