UPDATE: Bifrost Multibit sold to Sphinxvc, who can spot a deal from 1,000 miles away. M^3 still available.

    Evening evening!

Since I'm retooling my rig again around HD650s + Bottlehead Mainline, I'm putting the setup that I was using with the PMx2 for sale: a Multibit Bifrost (SOLD) and a Solder Works Audio AMB M^3 amplifier.

The Bifrost Multibit is in excellent condition and will come with both a Schiit Pyst USB cable, plus its power cable and original shipping box.

The SWA M^3 amplifier used to be Mr. Sneis's. You can find more details about it in this listing. You can also see pictures of it here (it's the exact unit from the first four pictures). It uses a Sigma11 PSU and is amazingly overbuilt. The TDK is one of the smoothest pots I've ever used. It also comes with a shitload of extra opamps. Sounded fantastic with the PMx2.

Photos on request, but the two are in great shape. I'm asking $435 shipped (+3.5% or gift) for the Bifrost Multibit (SOLD). I'm asking $350 shipped (+3.5% or gift) for the SWA M^3 amp. Come get them while they're hot.

While I've been on a sabbatical from SWA for some time now, I will continue to offer customer support for any SWA amplifier.

I think the only amplifier I've ever regretted selling was the CK2III you made. Sound quality was only matched by the build quality. Lovely stuff.

Thanks. I don't want any current owner or future owner to feel like they're left in a lurch without support if any issues arise.

IIRC (I'll need to double check my notes), the amplifier has an oversized TX and heat sinks with output MOSFETs biased to 150mA with a gain of 3.5x and 24V PS.

Decided I'm going to keep this -- and likely put up the Bottlehead Mainline for sale in a bit. This FS thread can be closed!

Interesting. How would you describe the Mainline vs M3 ?

the ADA4267-1 is probably my favorite opamp in the M3.

Thanks for making things easier on me.
Was thinking that the SWA M3 would make a good neutral SS amp for my work test rig...glad you took it off the market.
May have to try to get a prototype Copperhead to pull that duty. :p

I gotta try that opamp...i'm hating the OPA627 because the bass is so loose. All the other 'traditional' opamp choices i tried (843 or 8610) made it sound even worst.

Did you tune the C1L and C1R for the ADA4627 and gain or do you use the default 33pf MLCCs?

i used the value of the compensation caps for the specific gain based on recommended values on the amb.org website.
