Never heard them, but have read mixed things. I thing bad here and amazing on HF.

 

Yeah, my experiences with them have not been all that great.

What a bargain!!! I won't lie, I'm curious as to what it sounds like, but no way am I dropping 3k.

 

Is the X iem anything like current nobles? Is it a retuned version of anything or something completely new?

 

I guess it suppose to be like discontinued Savant, or at least that's what Jude implied on HF due to a dual driver config, but sounds like low end will be boosted. I think that might confuse some people because $600 Sage should to be a replacement for Savant, and now they have $250 X-version on MD.

Their fourté is a hybrid, I would love to find out more about the DD, as I think that will make all the difference. For example, the ADLC coated driver in the CA Vega would be one of the best DDs for a hybrid design, since it seems quite quick. But when you get a DD good enough for that, it can stand on its own as well or better, which is the rub.

 

Looks very interesting, could lead to a better melding of the drivers due to being shaped in the same acoustic chamber.

 

Just saw that the Vsonic GR07X was a thing. It's $206 on Lend Me Ur Ears right now, which puts it close to the price of the gr07 mkii when I bought them 3-4 years ago. Kind of disappointed that they're not a bit cheaper but the improvements seem promising.

Has anybody heard the Jomo6 V2 or any of the new revisioned Signature line?

I finished the review a while back but keep picking these up for simply enjoying music. I guess they have become a personal favorite.

I really don't see many other people comment on these.

A 5db difference is enormous channel imbalance, this coupled with the fact that the company is based overseas makes it difficult for me to buy blind when purchasing a CIEM without demoing is already a messy affair.

I'm sure they've improved since last year though and there products look extremely competent, metal waveguides and well finished acrylic.

I would also never encourage to order an custom internationally. With a custom you pay for service too and it's a waste if you place an order via email. Most of these companies cater professionals and that can include personal delivery if needed urgently or a quick cable replacement, etc. Not to mention how much both parties can save time discussing the artwork. Many customers have wrong expectations.

A tolerance of 3 dB channel imbalance might be ok for hearing aids, but certainly not for an audiophile (or professional) monitor. I might address that topic in my next chat with Joseph.
Too bad it didn't work out for Erei. I read some great things about the 6R. The 6 V2 has a very smart tuning though. Just a few tweaks from neutral make it sound very non-analytical and easily enjoyable without coloring the source material too much.

Yes, build quality is amazing. I can say the same for comfort.

I was about to purchase the JH Audio Angie's but I keep reading about quality control issues and their customer service is terrible.

Has anyone tried 64audio and their A12 or A10? How's the build quality and sound?

 

I had the U8 for one day, yes literally 1 day before I sold it. Build quality is good and it actually sounded good, but I really had no use for it. Just bought it at a ridiculous price from a friend on HF, less than $400, so I couldn't pass it up. Their build quality seems good from my extremely limited experience and from what I've read. I'm just not a fan of them as a company. Had a not so good experience with then years back. They didn't really handle something well, left a bad taste in my mouth.

Has anyone heard their other 2 offerings? I've read a lot on HF, but the hype is insane. Plus, it seemed like one person that shares impressions made some interesting comments and when pressed for more detail he kind of backtracked on what he said. Really seemed like an impression that he was protecting 64 ears.

Another impression was comparing the Vegas to the fourte and said they were very close, which I suspect is the truth, but at 2k more I'd want better than very close. I'd want a noticeable improvement.
