    Could you please clarify some details about the loaner unit? Was it custom made or modified? I'm pretty sure that the stock NBMs are wired for 220V/50Hz input.

    There is no loaner. I have a unit and Craig has a unit. @CEE TEE has my unit because he's a close friend and wanted to check it out.

    The units we have are 120V. Probably custom made.

    I've managed to obtain some details from the manufacturer.

    1) Yep, the direct international shipping is not possible due to bureaucracy reasons (legal permits, fund processing, currency conversions)
    2) The transformers are 220V only, and custom 110-120V order will have to be 20 or even 50 units. There shouldn't be any problems with a step-up transformer though.

    I'm willing to try myself as a middleman, but there are some tricky bits:
    There's no way to withdraw money from PayPal account in Russia and the incoming funds are being converted to rubles.
    The exchange rates (PayPal, bank and official Central Bank of Russia ones) have a huge spread and pretty unpredictable.
    I'll have to prove my good intentions somehow. Any ideas? We can use ebay, head-fi or any other sale/trade platform to make the deal, but that's an additional fee to cover.

    @hifi01170, i'll use your case as an example:
    [ 17980 (amp) + 500 (shipping to Moscow) + 2415 (shipping to France via EMS. The regular mail will be a bit cheaper, but less predictable) ] * 1.04 (in case of PayPal selling transaction) รท 72.65 (today's EUR/RUR exchange rate of my bank. We'll have to check it again and modify the calculations) = 299.116311081
    300 EUR in case the amp won't need the additional packaging and I haven't forgot any other way to lose money on fees.
