    Just saw this go up on Massdrop. I'm running a Vali 2 and have been considering adding a true tube amp to my collection. I would try a BH crack but I don't have the time to do the DIY at the minute. Anyone tried this and have any impressions?

    Don't do it, it's a wayyy outdated amp and easily bested by Schiit's current low-end offerings. I used to have a MK III and MK IV SE in the past and the Vali 2 and Valhalla 2 would kill them.

    I had this amp. Got the Valhalla 2 shortly after & the 2 smoked it. Not even close.dont let the attractive price be the deciding factor in purchasing an amp.

    Just out of curiosity, what makes it worse (from a sound quality perspective)?
