Music is something that we need to connect the world to our souls. And everyone has their own perspectives and different angles to review and to feel the pulses of music.

This post is for everyone to recommand or say things that you hear in an albums. You can communicate with others if you saw your loved albums here. And good and accurate music reviews with your own color is most welcomed here*. (It's so subjective and detailed that people can know your heartbeats better.)

Most important thing, kindness is the first priority. If someone posts an album you don't like, you don't need to be against him/her, because everyone has their own tastes, but also you can show your feelings or theories of that album in a kind way.

*If you just want to share an album with few words, it's also welcomed. Just the more the better. However I'm always glad to see people share their precious treasure. Music friends tread!

There's an album that I found recently, which may not be spread and noticed by many people, but it really killed it in the 90s with acoustic ways but a modern sounds.

I Never Even Asked For Light by Lullaby For The Working Class.

It's a rare treasure buried in the sands of times, but with some coincidence, I found it. No matter in RYM or AOTY, it's just not heard by many people.

Listening to this album just like multiple Nick Drake's guitars that surround you and make transparent sound walls with it's countless colorful instruments lines may be a huge difference that compares to the electric guitars' sound walls. Maybe the vocal in it might not be a stark one in indie music, but you can literally feel his mental world and all that he wanted to express. These are melted into one body part with all he composed.

I should say it's very unique album, because if you view all the 90s folk music, you can see Neutral Milk Hotel (It's one of my favorite too), Elliot Smiths and other musicians, who gave so many elements that do not belong to folk, like LoFi, like hardcore, etc. You can feel they combined so many genres into their own words to forge a pure testament, however, not this one.

Lullaby they just only have the acoustic sound with guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, trumpet, trombone, glockenspiel, dulcimer, kalimba and even air organ, and also to be mentioned, theirselves. The multiple acoustic instruments just like different opinions in a man, that you struggle with yourself and different words from your heart. And last three songs just confirm it's a story about Man Vs The Tide (of the world, I think.) And after you hear all of these, you can pick all the romance in your heart and maybe in a child form to recall all the old memories to make you stronger than before.

About its disadvantages, I think how Lullaby built a song is a bit repetitive, and the chords and scales need to be more flexible. Maybe add some flavor like Neo-Classic or Post-Romantic, which Radiohead in Burn The Witch, a song in A Moon Shaped Pool album, add a new flavor in the album.(Though in BTW there are some electro or rock parts, my point is the stringed instruments or the acoustic instruments have more ways to play in Neo-Classic or Post-Romantic, with decades progress and theories updates.)

For conclusion, this album may be a peak to me how high level that old acoustic can reach. They use old-fashion way to go beyond what the old-fashions could get. Don't need to mention the strong will in it and flexible structures with colorful guitar lines in echoes. I think they just forge a unicorn standing out in the masterpieces.

(After I bought a completely new one for 7 dollars, I just feel how hard an creative indie band lived through decades.)
