I think it would be a good idea if you wrote with big fat red letters on the first page that people should tick the: "Receive email when a new conversation message is received" in their contact details. I think most people here don't visit the forum regularly and it would definitely had been some time before I noticed my PM if it wasn't for that setting.

Just wanted to add a few procedural items that helped me through the process. Although I watched Tyll's video these few items made the process easier for me.

1. There is really no need to dismantle the cups from the headband IMO. It's a labor intensive step that wasn't helpful to me to be able to get to the area to remove the screen.

2. It helps to use a hair dryer on medium heat for about 30 seconds before attempting the screen removal.

3. Inevitably unless your hd800 is nearly brand new, you'll have dust and some hair inside the cup. Be sure to gently blow the inside of the cup with some compressed air with the dust covers still in place and then again once you take the dust covers out. The last thing that you want is to remove the screen and accidentally push a stray hair in with the driver...trust me on this.

4. My fingernail was not doing much to get the screen edge up so that I could grab it. I found that the blunt end of a guitar pick worked much better. Just be patient and keep working one small area.

Anyway, this is what worked for me. And this mod sounds fantastic @sorrodje !! Many thanks for your efforts.
