So my local audio shop is a T+A Dealer, with the T+A North America Rep being located just north of Jax. It doesn't sound bad, but it didn't sound appealing to me for their asking price. I thought some of their stuff (including their DAC) was flat sounding and quite frankly, not really that special. I think their stuff is being aimed for the OAFAS members in my opinion (since FL has tons of OAFAS wallets).

Slightly warmer than neutral, low distorion, detailed, but let down by a too much depressed upper midbass/lower treble. Bit of a mid treble spike, but not too bothersome given the low distortion. Good for long term listening, but lacks excitement when compared to the Utopia.

What makes it "outstanding"? The same idea can be applied to your post, please provide reasons for your positive impression.

great bass, detailed with a very nice soundstage that is very layered and 3 dimensional and IMHO the only TOTL HP that can be driven without an external amp
