The Mighty Utopia: Focal Utopia Revisited

Situation where I have Focal headphones sound anemic in bass, the pegs for the pads weren't all inserted so check to see that they are seated all correctly.

If you have any local Focal dealers, they might be cool enough to let you swap their Utopia pads on your headphones. Plus you can probably A/B with their Utopia to see if its a sound you like, the 2022 isn't too far off from the OG sound. If you do like them with their Utopia pads, maybe you can just order the pads through them as a thanks for their time.

Back when I was doing brick and mortar, people would come to our store to ask if we could help out with trying pads or us with misc issues on their used stuff. So long as it wasn't a big time sink or risked damaging my stuff my boss and I were usually cool with it.

 

Thanks everyone for the replies. I'm in the Scottish Highlands so don't have a Focal dealer anywhere near me, I can't even source the Focal pads online without a 4+ week delay.

I've managed to get a pair of the ZMF Focal pads on order which were tested by PoochZag a few pages back. I'll try them out and see if the sound signature coincides with his observations.
