As a 5-year-old, I loved to listen to records and the reel to reel from my uncle. The audio journey continued via DIY Karlson, Vifa and KEF speakers and as a student I landed a Quad 33/303 + ESL55 electrostats with the Philips CD880 (w TDA1541 crown) as source. I lean towards bipole or highly directional speakers that have little room problems.

In 2019, I started building tube amps being unimpressed with nearly all headphone amps. In making my amps, I look for the ability to capture the raw edge of live instruments, emotional connection and a natural presentation - and recently the ability to drive the HE-6 headphone. I'm not set on SET or PP, but getting my PP designs towards SET is very satisfying. It's likely I'm going to rotate back to speakers and build tube amps for those.
