I experience sound with 3/5 senses - hearing, sight, touch... synesthesia can be both distracting and informative. If I describe a DAC as sounding like grey mashed potatoes with a fine grit, I'm being literal (Gungnir Multibit A2). I hope you enjoyed my TED talk.
