Wtb: Cambridge Audio CXN or similar streamer

Yeah the CXN does exactly what I need, looking for one used, or something similar, preferably below $500.

What I want:
Streaming from Spotify and something like tidal
Preamp functionality with remote
Balanced out would be nice

I was in the exact same place as you. But I didn’t really want to pay for another DAC, especially based on the Wolfson. I was actually more interested in the 851N, but it was just too pricey, even used.

I ended up with a Digione Signature and I’m very very happy with it. I’ve got an external USB SSD plugged in to it, and I also use a DLNA server from my NAS and play Spotify on it, all S/PDIF out to mScaler. Very happy. Bit of a hassle getting Volumio running, but once I sorted that I’ve been completely satisfied with it as a great upgrade from my Windows 10 NUC (USB out to Singxer SU-1 and then to mScaler).

I got a great deal on it used with a Shanti LPS.

BTW, I tried a Brennan B2, but returned it — it was noisy and we couldn’t figure out how to fix it.

 

No idea how good or bad the bluesound node is but there is one on USAM for $380
