Loaner: RD-X (rhythmdevils modded Audeze LCD-X)

Since things seem so confusing... went thru the thread and here's what I can make of it... (realizing I don't know what happened via PM)

There are still a couple people who asked to be on the combo platter tour that weren't added to the list on pg 1. @Noodlz & @ckhirnigs.

It appears that the RD-x only tour has yet to start. I'm not sure if all these people are still active, but I've updated what I can make out of the list and put it in the spoiler (and added myself to the bottom of the RD-x only list).

At the rate this tour is going, it won't end until mid-2025 (similarities to a Grateful Dead tour)

 

Oops dumb mistake. Thought this was the RD modded LCD-4 thread, not the LCD-X thread.

Please remove me from the LCD-X loaner - I've already listened and wrote impressions as well.

Since shipping has been delayed so long and I'm leaving next Tuesday, I think it's best to skip me (again...).

 

I moved you down a couple spots in the headphones only portion of the tour. If possible we should get you the amp before you leave and the headphones once you're back. @Mdkaler please send @Clemmaster the amp ASAP and the headphones to @StandUp713

To late to add me to the list? I've been a contributor for a few months now but still don't have a tag. Have a set of LCD-X I've been considering sending in but would love to hear the RD-X mods first.

 

Do either of you have a friend on SBAF that can vouch for you? Since RD is out of commission, I want to be careful about who can join. I'm happy to extend the loaner, we want to get as many ears as possible on RD's magic.

 

Hi @loadexfa - (Not that I carry all that much weight) but I can vouch for @AlPastor (Steven) as he legit has the LCD-X I sold him. Upstanding guy and has a pretty serious audio setup and him getting ears on this loaner - should be interesting to get his feedback and impressions. He is in the Texas area if you are planning for any logistics. He's an all around good guy, can see him making good contributions ahead.

 

FYI this is already on it's way to you and should arrive before you leave. The delays aren't your fault and the loaner will wait until you get back and have a chance to listen.

 

Some details on the combo since that seems to be murky around when I got in on it - I picked up the LAuX from @ColtMrFire in person on 2022-09-17 after the RD-X went back to Whitney with the intention that an RD-4 would be sent back from my recollection, but instead the RD-X got some updates (after the Texas Meet) and I received those from Whitney on 2022-11-26 after he rearranged the list to start from TX going forward.

Probably a bit past relevance but have to help the fabulous record @dasman66 have a few more dates

 

Ah, its been a long while~ i actually dont have much time as of late to really enjoy this. Maybe as this tour goes on i can jump back on? Still super curious though. Lol

 

understatement of the year Will this be the longest loaner tour SBAF has had?

 

Unfortunately, I don't think I do have any SBAF friends at this point who could vouch for me, so I can certainly appreciate and respect the hesitancy. I don't have an extensive system, but I do have a stock set of LCD-X (2021) that it would be awesome to directly compare via my Schiit Lyr 3. Maybe after meeting Jason Stoddard this weekend at a Head-Fi meet locally here in the RTP area, he could vouch for me! (Kidding, of course)
