I don't get the onion one. Then again, they used the "wrong brain" when I was reanimated.

 

I wasn't good at school. Don't ask me what parts of an atom are positive, negative or charming! But I assume that ion is positive, and that the onion without it is just an on.

If that's the case, then it has been quite educational for me!

 

An-ion are negative, cat-ions are positive ions. Ion just means atom with charge ("atoms" are neutral) - unless you count hydrogen cations, which are basically just protons. A true atom in the sense of the greek word "indivisible" is actually an electron, and quarks (stuff which build nucleons like protons and neutrons which make up the nucleus of the atom (and other hadrons I think like mesons - stuff which is very important for nuclear fusion, and also their radiation was used to image toombs in pyramids? or something like that)); as electrons and quarks, neutrinos etc are as far as we can tell true points (well - as much as the uncertainty principle allows for).

Edit - nope, those are muons, another leptons, like electrons - for pyramids and fusion. They form in the upper atmosphere, not mesons. I forgot, it was a long time ago.
