    Thanks for handling this - because if it gets recalled back to me - there is no guarantee how long I will sit on it.
    It's possible the wire to the trace is loose, or hopefully it's a cable/jack issue.

    Anyway, a message to all SBAF'ers on the loaners if there is a problem:

    Pretend I am dead.

    What you would do if I am dead and the loaner needed to go on? Ask what you can do to help SBAF instead of what I can to do help SBAF. I know you guys can handle it. This is a smart bunch with disposable income (implying a high level of intelligence and decision making capability).

    Simple fix. I trimmed an inch or 2 off the cable and resoldered the plug back on. The issue is the force generated on the cable by the end of the plug. The original audeze cables suffered from similar failure. To offer some additional protection, I added some heatshrink tubing so that the cable cannot easily bend as it leaves the plug.

    @Garuspik the cable could do with some additional protection at both ends. The stress on the inner cable will likely cause failures in the field without a bit of strain relief. I know the loaner pair likely gets beat up more than most, but this is the type of field testing that provides engineering feedback.
