I just visited the HF forums recently, and I realized something pretty ironic. While they believe in good sound quality in headphones and all this stuff and talk down Beats, Bose, and etc, they still hype up so many other crappy headphones that sound as bad or worse. Honestly with some of those recommendations I see on there, if someone slapped a different brand onto some Beats or something, they probably couldn't tell the difference and hail it as the new great headphone.

I'm really doing my best to get tossed off that loser site. Just today there's a member selling a used carbon for the original msrp + shipping. Or trade for mojo + cash on mojo owners end (roughly 200$) because the carbon has a transferable lifetime warranty that was given to owners no charge. I sold mine for 500$ locally and felt that was a bit high. Classified prices over there are a joke. I let this ass wipe have it so I'm sure I'll be getting a message from one of yoda's leuitenants sometime soon.

    Yep,
That's the guy. I confronted another member last week about a pair of Massdrop k7xx he was selling for 235.00. Shortly after I was contacted by the the mod. Telling me out was out of line.

If you did that in my classified thread, I'd toss you in the sugar cane canal so the 'gators could have a snack, don't need no stiinkin mods. :D

don't like the price, move the eff on, it's not a discussion thread, there are idiots all over the place asking too much.

Ha! I actually posted something there yesterday. But it was nothing to do with headphones.

It wouldn't make sense for any forum to allow blocking messages from moderators.

Hope you understand even if you do not agree

The worst part of HF for me (other than the incredible amount of misinfoirmation) is that I used to have my forum (hometheaterforum.com) on the same software/hosting platform as them (huddler), and those guys were the biggest assholes... ever. They handle do ad sales and keep part of the income as their fee for running your site.

Every time I use HF, it brings back traumatic memories of my battle getting off Huddler.

Yep, pretty much. You either pay them exorbitant amounts of money month to month while you migrate, or you suck it up and do a crappy job moving. For all his faults, I can't help feeling bad for Jude on that one.

I am a regular there still. I have some good friends that I socialize with. I'm a basshead, and frequent the same threads as Luckbad. My favorite thread there, by far. There are some good people there, lots of hype.

There are still some solid people there. It can be a great resource for several things. It was there I first found Marv and his thread on dacs. There are still a group of knowledgeable people I learn things from, Joe Bloggs, great guy and he helps out with using eq. Especially with Viper4Android. Also, some really good guys in the bass thread, Luckbad, Hawaiibadboy, and a select few.

It's great to find out about new items. Do your own research obviously though, hype is crazy there. So many hits, you are guaranteed to find lots of new things that you may not find elsewhere.

Overall, good place for info, if you know how to read through some of the crap.

I still check out the "650 love thread", which is up to around 2,200 pages. For me it's like a personal achievement for the longest thread I've ever read anywhere. It's gotten to the point where people are talking about things like Champagne but add a picture of the 650s to keep it "on topic" LOL

Welp... LFF is fairly busy with med school me thinks. RD got pretty sick. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named had some issues w some members. Muppet is no show for a while, dunno why. Tari seems to be busy being a parent or something. Tode is no show for a while, dunno why. Kiro got pretty upset with the He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named I think, and haven't seen him since.

Other folks where proly abducted by aliens.

i didn't know lff was going to med school. odd. thought mastering was his life? well, good for him. hope he likes it. i got all these cool big jbl and altec speakers now and no one to share the enthusiastic feeling with. always knew how much he loved jbl stuff and we talk bout making stupid frank sanatra remixs by uping vocal range and adding dirty retarded transformer srillix wanabe dubstep wobbles that be played live and all girls screaming they want his baby lol. now i have more of something to talk bout with him, and he's not around anymore...kinda sucks but, hope he likes what he is doing now..

i see. RD and me always had some disagreements and he always got mad at me cause of my kinda ignorant not giving a f comments bout some people like that specially challenged mr speaker or whatever name he goes by nowadays and when came to sextett theories but, his music sharing was really cool and his ear capability with modding headphones by ear were as accurate or even more as the best measuring computers but, we were cool. gonna miss his weird thinking monkey icon guy and his interesting threads and theories. learned a lot especially bout the treble grain we use to talk bout.

i see. well i hope they're doing well. and maybe one day they'll come back on here. i remember all the dumb things i said and we use to talk about even though i always kinda felt like the weird odd ball left out due to my incoherence and intellectual ability at times but, for now there is still couple original crazies that haven't been alien abducted yet so, the butt buddy elite club is still around and kicking.. i would ask bout cee tee but, last time i remember seeing pic of him it look like he was running away from godzilla. i guess no more white snake music for him.

CT is around. Not super active. But he's here and there.

LFF wanted to be in the medical field for a while, but things got in the way. I believe he is pursuing this fully. I remember both Luis and Whitney were big on Mackies with Luis having the old 8" while Whitney had the old 6". They were also big on JBLs. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was specially big on JBLs I think. Even the latest iteration.

I think both JBL and Mackies are solid. Old stuff is proly better, but needs more space to get the wife seal of approval.

Butt Buddy Club is alive and good bro. I wish Kirosia and Tode would show up too.
