Maybe get a ModMic?

Jumping on the "Why not ModMic?" That way you are not tied to a choice of headphone, and ModMic is quite good with voice clarity and noise rejection.

Thanks guys. My quick look at ModMic didn’t turn up evidence of active noise rejection, but I can see how good directionality would help. The Bose thing supposedly does active cancellation but people don’t seem to love it

Ya, it is not active afaik, but being directional seems to be enough to reject mechanical keyboard noise - that has been very helpful for gaming sessions and work calls. That being said, having it strapped to an HD650 which has actual resolution unlike most headsets ... has been a "treat" of hearing some folks use fairly bad microphones and exactly how nasty that can be.

Bose 700, no boom mic (it has ~8 mics though). Totl Sonys and these were great for portable and noise canceling. Nice SQ all things considered.
