It's hard to compare a 2005 Honda Civic to a 2016 Honda Civic. They are both cars but one just drives a little better than the other. :)

I won't say 650 is last year Civic. From Val 2, 650 trades blows with 800. 650 stage, detail, transient aren't as good as 800, but heck 650 tonality is natural & mis is magical.

Understood. What I was trying to say is that they are both excellent cans but one is just slight better then the other in the "technical" side.

Isn't the military is guilty of that too? What the heck is those random letters added to F-16: F-16A, F-16B, C, D, E, F... Well I hope that doesn't mean their engineers apply some Dynamats on the radar dome and claim it improves the accuracy.

If I don't know what a f'ing 650M is and I ask @OJneg and @Marvey and they don't know either, then it's too obscure to assume that the designation is common enough to be used casually. This isn't the HD800 SD or SDR which is common enough to use in conversation around here.

In the case of your failed attempt at analogy, this would be like if a random third party modded the F-16, published the mod and either that party or a separate third party gave it the informal designation F-16X. Mind you, this is an unpurchaseable variant and the air force would have to read about the modification to the F-16 online to implement it themselves. (cont.)

Oh, apology if that sounds obtuse to you. I just simply find that those personally assigned letter of X to the HD800 is just an innocent, quick means to indicate a modded HD800 to the reader. Or perhaps I once again failed at my reading comprehension of a foreign language where in that case I hope that can give me an excuse.

You can blame me for the HD650M. I was the one who started calling it that in the appreciation thread. It just indicated that you have fully modified the HD650 with the foam, Dynamat, and quarter changes. Sorry for triggering you.
