I've got an Atrium Closed on order. How are you liking it so far?

The ACs are very good. I am still burning them in and still getting used to them. I am an HD600s guy. These are steps up in bass, and micro dynamics - I hear a lot of stuff I had not heard previously. I am missing that last 5% of the top end that I like, but am experimenting with pads and cables. I am certain I will either find what I am looking for or I will simply get used to the presentation. A+++

I bought all 4 recommended pads that Zach has liked on the AC: Caldera Thin, Caldera Suede, Bokeh Suede, and Auteur Suede (solid). Which pads have you tried so far?

I have the Auteur Suede and Lamb, the Universe Suede and Lamb, and the Eikon Lamb. I am, waiting on the Eikon Suede right now. I picked a lot of them up on the B-Stock sale and saves a mint. I don't know them well enough to articulate the tone of each, save to say I keep going back to the Auteur Suedes.

Oh.BTW! I think I messed up the abreviations here. I should call these the AuCs - Auteur classics. Changed this in the post. Sorry to have confused the conversation.

Ha, I was starting to question your pad choices until I got to the part about it being the Auteur Classic, not the Atrium Closed. I have an OG Auteur and my favorites are Eikon Suedes and the stock Auteur Lambskins.

Still excited for my Atrium Closed though!

Just tried recieved and tried the Suede Eikon pads. Whoha - it's thick and that bass reaches into the mids and just clobbers them. Not for me.

I never tried them on the Classic, only on my OG. I felt the same way about the Eikon Lambskins on my OG as you do about the Suedes on your Classic.
