Based on my experience with the CA Orion, shallow.

Oh my. I spent almost an hour figuring out how to insert the tips into my ear canals.

I found the nozzles too short, oddly. The whole fit of the Andros confounded me. I'd probably need to borrow a pair for a week and tip roll to see if they'd even fit- without the corners of the capsule poking.

Shame, as the sound is.. exactly as it should be.

I think you get used to it after a week or so. My technique is to first get a decent seal however you normally do it, then use your thumbs upside down (pointing downwards) and push the mid-bottom of the shell diagonally upwards and in to get that final bit of seal/insertion

basically youre going with the angle of the nozzles to push them further. Its still shallow relative to other customs for sure, but feels fine after you do it this way IMO. Pushing the shell perpendicular to your ear/head doesnt help at all

I found out that I actually need large tips. Geez, two years of using custom is like dildo training.

The problem is, my right canal is very oval. According to Klipsch, human ear canals are oval. I understand oval bore is more difficult to manufacture, but why tips are perfectly rounded?

I think that if the tips were oval, you would have to be able to orient the shape to fit exactly right everytime. Round tips end up deforming to oval once they fit in, so its not really an issue. And the IEM nozzle is smaller than your canal anyway so its shape doesnt matter
