    Sorry I did not have time for a response, but I was going to say ditch the 6C45 tubes and get WE417s on adapters. The Shuguang 2A3 are OK, but we've found all sorts of nonsense with their pins such as solder goop. I assume that maybe the seller of these Shuguang 2A3s snipped the tips of the pins because of this.

    I just remembered you mentioning this somewhere else; makes a lot of sense. Far better to snip the pins then trying to physically force/jam it in. My PSVane also has a cosmetic issue too. One tube has a leaning tower of Pisa syndrome. I think the pins set inside the tube base are ever so slightly crooked (the glass tube to base seems well aligned and sealed). I’d rather not try and bend the 4 pins to straighten the tube out so just let it lean. Plus now I always know which 2A3 is which, the leaning tower goes right.
