I have two tube amplifiers that I wish to sell. These are from a collection of amplifiers my wife and I inhertied from her father. I refurbished both amplifiers, and listened to them for a while. I'm selling them to secure funds for a new build I'm working on.

    -- Amp 1: 6SN7-300B, 120V input, $1100 net
    -- Amp 2: 6SL7-45 Parallel SET, 100V input, $1300 net.

Friends only please. These are amps we inherited and I spent time working on them, so would love to find a good home for them. Shipping and paypal fees (if not using gift) are not included. I will work with the buyer on shipping details (keeping in mind that I get very good shipping rates for personal shipments using my corporate account).

As an example of my work refurbishing an amp from the same collection, see:

Below are images of the amps (tubes are not included):

It'd be useful to call out any specific circuit, schematic or board (if not handmade or p2p) for these amps. Also, the quality of the OPT's would be of interest, along with any design decisions re: caps, resistors, etc. Might help you widen your audience.

Since I did not build the amps, it's difficult to know what brand the OPTs are. For the first amp, I changed almost all capacitors. The PS is CLC with 10uF (Vishay film cap 500V) followed by 50uF (TMC can cap 600V from Japan). The blue cap is a 50+50 500V filter cap for the 6SN7 tube supply. There are some Elna Cerfine caps in there, and the coupling caps are .22uF Audiocaps.

For the second amp, I changed all the caps except the SRPP section around the 6SL7 tubes, and changed the power resistors (from Takman to Dale). Cathode bypass caps are Elna cerafine. The PS caps are Nichicon and Solen (note that the picture is an earlier version that doesn't show the solen film cap in the PS). The coupling caps are Nitsuko and are original to the amp.

I don't have a schematic for the first amp, and I'll try to dig up the schematic for the 45 amp.

I'm not seeing all the pics. I might have to pick up the 45!

Thanks @zerodeefex for the heads-up! I edited the first post hoping to fix the images -- there should be 6 of them. Please let me know if they're still not working.
