    The quick:
FREE LP to a good home.

    Short Story:
I bought an LP from a good bloke who helped me out, and don't own a TT. I'd like to offer it up for FREE.

A short while after I received my Black Widow 2, the right channel dropped and a quick look under the lid found the lead to RCA connection had disconnected. Fairly simple solder job, so I wasn't particularly worried about it. I didn't want to hassle EC with the repair, let alone be long without the amp, so set out to find a place to repair it locally.

After two calls, to two different stereo repair shops, I was left with a subtle feeling that no one wanted to trouble themselves with such a simple repair, let alone on a "headphone" amplifier. Of course they'd do it, but I just didn't like the vibe.

Out of curiosity, I called a local Record Shop to see if they'd have any recommendations, and after a brief explanation, a nice guy said he'd be happy to repair it. Seeing how he had experience restoring vintage receivers/amps and other audio gear, I gave him a shot.

I made my way to the shop and after a few minutes, he had repaired the lead, and proceeded to talk my head off about headphones, their sound characteristics relative to speakers and how deeply impressed was with the build quality of my BW. Super nice guy, and the enthusiasm was appreciated.

So, when he told me the repair was only $5, I just couldn't leave without digging a bit and buying an LP.

I have aspirations for a nice analog rig, but it's not going to happen anytime soon.

Friends Only, shipping on me. CONUS Only.

Yes, it's FREE, but If you don't like the idea of getting something for FREE, make a small donation to SBAF. I'd like this to go to someone who'd appreciate it.

I particularly like KD for his rich tone and what I've always perceived to be an effortless skill at improvisation.
