According to Android Authority the ESS 9218P dac in the G7 is tuned by Meridian. All I know is I owned the V10, V20, V30 and G6 and this is the best sounding one for music via the Headphone Out.

This LG G7 ThinQ is a T-Mobile variant works great on T-Mobiles 4G LTE network. It is locked to the T-Mobile network and the IMEI is totally clean and clear. This has been my backup for a number of years. Battery still is doing very well, Right now I am using it with Google Voice for a VOIP phone, the call quality is insanely good.

The phone cosmetically is in Grade A or 9 out of 10 used condition cosmetically. The screen is pretty close to mirror finish as well as the back. There are very minor signs of wear as it has been in the Tech 21 case forever. It is running Android 10.0. All things function as they should and this phone sounds great playing music
