I never thought that this day would come. I'm selling my beloved VPI Classic 3. This turntable needs no introduction. Its charms will take you to the upper echelons of analog goodness. Why am I selling it, you ask? The whole package is too big for my urban apartment. I've tried to make it work, but it casts an imposing profile in my living room. I'm tired of shooing my little kids away from it, and my wife is not a big fan of the size. I need a turntable with a smaller footprint, so I'm planning to buy a Technics SL-1200G. I feel lucky that I've been able to use this turntable. I purchased it from a fellow member here at SBAF, and I'm hoping to find a good home for it. This package is priced to move. Sale is open to friends and contributors. Price includes cost of shipping (CONUS only). The package includes: VPI Classic 3 turntable (piano black finish w/ JMW 10.5i tonearm) Condition: 8/10: The plinth has one small ding on the front; otherwise, everything looks good and is perfectly functional. I have the complete factory packaging. VPI SDS Condition: 9/10: perfect physical condition and functionality. VPI Periphery Outer Ring Clamp Condition: 6/10: The ring has one large scratch on it, but it does not affect playback. VPI HRX Center Weight Condition: 9/10: The weight has some dings on the underside from normal use. Plinth dust cover Condition: 7/10: The dust cover is well-maintained and shows just slight wear from normal use and dust. I'm not sure what the brand is, but it looks like the dust cover made by Gingko. Price: $3900 net If you'd like pictures, I'm happy to provide them, but everything is boxed up right now, so it will take me a few days to get everything out and take pictures. Thanks for looking!
