FS: Yggdrasil A2 Unison Silver

Selling my Yggdrasil A2 with Unison USB. It has the original silver case.

This Yggdrasil was upgraded at Schiit from A1, and I later upgraded from Gen 5 to Unison. I never loved it as much as the A1, but there was no going back (Schiit kept the boards). When the LIM came out, it integrated better than both the A1 or A2 in my speaker system. Between the Gungnir A2 and Yggdrasil A2, I decided to keep the Gungnir hence selling the Yggdrasil.

Case looks good and all interfaces are tight and work with no issues. It has faint transformer mechanical hum if you put your ear a few inches from the case. It is dead silent from the outputs and sounds great.

I know the A2 boards are unobtanium, but prefer to sell to friends or contributors rather than to have it sit on a shelf or upgrade again.

Price is 1500 net to me. I prefer to ship only to the US.

Hi, just noticed your add, my nephew was after one of these earlier this year but have to check if he still wants. Thought i would enquire anyway and just check what model this is exactly as i have forgotten all the details after he tried to explain the different models with different names, boards, chips etc. I think he was after the `OG` A2 using AD5791 chips. Is this what you are selling?

What`s the go with voltage. Is it universal..... simple wire swap/fuse change.... or do Schiit use completely different tranny`s for 230v operation with this unit. Someone told me it is as simple as just using the correct plug but that does not sound right to me.

 

@PNOS1 Schiit use different transformers. Their small units with external bricks can be changed out as the brick is the transformer. Unfortunately in the case of the Yggdrasil the transformer is internal. A US market Yggdrasil will be 115v.

 

Found great synergy between the A2 and my SEX 2.1 amp which I modded quite a bit over the years (last recent mod was adding teflon coupling caps), and HD600. Will take it off the market for now and may put the Bifrost up for sale instead.
