Don't see the problem if you keep it friends/contributers only. You cause drama in the for sale forum? Say goodbye to your status and privileges.

So, I was pretty busy for the past month (or months) to even look at my own for sale thread and respond to a few souls who was kind enough to wait for those responses, then I came back to this and thought to myself "damn, is it the weather?? I know it's been hot lately..."

Anyways, a couple of things I'd like to add:

    1) I generally view the "for sale" place as a place to offload extra gears that are taking up space in my room (those who know me know I have a lot of stuffs!), and I know they are perfectly in good working order and good condition (meaning if something has the potential to fail/die, then I wouldn't put it up for sale) because honestly, I know that I'll mostly be selling them to "friends", and I don't want to screw over a "friend", or have to deal with the aftermath of something failing. This is the attitude that I'm expecting from other "for sale" threads as well, and maybe I'm being presumptuous, but I consider everybody who has "friend" status to be decent human beings. Basically, I'm trying to be a good "friend" because I'm hoping that others will also be "good" to me.

    2) I also have the option to post a "for sale" thread on Head-fi as well as other places, but I specifically would like to keep my "for sale" threads here to give "friends" a good deal. And if the deal is not "good enough" (sometimes I do notice the same item being sold for less elsewhere), then I'd even consider making it "better". Again, because I think my friends are good friends and they deserve to be treated as such. Hell, I'd even give "randos" a good deal sometimes because I want to emphasize both to friends and to people who are considering to become a part of "the family" here that by "friend", I mean "friend"! From what I've seen recently, it feels like some people are forgetting what "friend" really means. <- maybe I'm being presumptuous again, and if so, I apologize!

    3) I find that a "feedback", "comment", or "rating" system for a seller or buyer is just extra annoyance, personally. It's not that it doesn't help in case of a bad apple or two, but if a seller is good, you'll probably just see the same "excellent seller! A+++" shit like on eBay anyway (fudge, eBay has limited their feedback length to be just long enough to write something like that). So I don't think we should implement anything like that.

    4) If anything, I would suggest that bad traders have their privileges revoked until the issue has been worked out and both sides (the seller and buyer) have agreed that the solution leaves no bad tastes. And even after that, I think a "cool down" period should be implemented so that the person will only have their privileges back after they have had the time to mull over the consequences of their decisions. That should prevent potential headaches for a while as well. And even with that, I do understand that all of this is just extra work that does not need to be done.

    5) And that brings me to the last and final point: I agree with @shipsupt that this thread never needed to be here in the first place! Just be good to your friends, guys. I consider all of you guys to be my good friends, so it's pretty disturbing to see something like this.

I never seen anyone posting here making a profit. If anything, it's more like a minor loss from what they paid.
