    Sounds promising!

So far the few pro audio "monitor controllers" I've tried following the Convert have for various reasons, somehow not reproduced the Converts full body & bass extentsion. Yet, as mentioned opened my eyes as to how much more clarity could be gained as well as, better L-R tracking / imaging ...by bypassing the Converts attenuator.
The latter, really matters at very low level monitoring. Which is IMO a big deal when mixing.

    It's been a bit of a dilemma.
Might try to find a used SAX2o to try.

Very early on after I bought the Convert, Chris at Dangerous Music advised me to bypass the volume pot. While it is a decent pot, it is best kept out of the path altogether, always.

Can you comment on what worked well for you? ... is it the Goldpoint ?

It's funny, I've had talks w Chris in support where he mentioned some guys are fine using the C2 volume pot and didn't think it was so significant. Yet he may have been down playing it a bit. Clearly our ears can hear the differences.

I'd be very interested to hear "Chris Muths thoughts" on the subject. I personally want something effective yet can't afford to spend too much these days.

I don’t have a Goldpoint (or any pre) in my chain. The analog outs of the C2 go into the XLRs of the Jensen PI 2XR and the SEs go into my amp. I listen to headphones only at this point in time.
