HeadSpace SoCal x Watercooler Meet (January 20th, 2023)

Hi SoCal Folks!

Rosson Audio is kindly hosting another small SoCal meet at their offices. It's a little short on notice, but I wanted to toss it out there in case anyone happens to be interested (I think they are San Fernando area).

I hope some of us can make it. I think it's important to show up and support these smaller gatherings as a juxtaposition to the large commercial mega meets. These smaller ones are a great way to get personal time with rarer gear and actually interact with people of our small hobby.

Wow, this weekend? I see they started talking about it at the beginning of the month but ouch.

Unfortunately I will be busy.

I agree with this. However I know at least one peep who had some minor issues with non SBAF people at the previous Rosson meet and will unlikely bring any of the nicer gear to them in the future. That's not to say people shouldn't go. I wish them well with this meet, and with better lead time more people would be able to go in the future.

That said, we do have an SBAF meet hopefully happening again sometime this year.

 

Ahhh, already had some plans with friends this weekend but nothing set in stone and other set of headphone friends were wanting to go to a headphone meet so I am a tad conflicted. Already sent out that Kallyste Amethyste so I have less cool stuff to bring this time. Last meet we had at Rosson's place was fun, probably will plan and talk with friends to see what I can make work.

 

Looks like I can be there for a little bit, will carpool and go with a friend. Bringing my DC2 for a source for his amp. Arya Organic and Stealth Magnet for headphones. Maybe some more, haven't decided.

 

@E_Schaaf and I will be there tomorrow with some cool things we've been working on!

Great headphone show. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make it, but then my schedule cleared up at noon. Good to see everyone again. I loved the 'purple prototype'. The high fr ringing ended up being that fancy looking braided cable. Until the next time

Given that the original focus was to the Head fi Watercooler thread folk, it looks like it went okay. I had plans this weekend (which were then cancelled after me dealing with a cold) so I didn't go. I did recognize a few familiar faces on this post:

I mean when one room is full of men who might be virgins talking about hard equipment....I dunno. I heard more AZN men = more t00b amps in one room.

 

This was the only socal meet up thread I could find, so just throwing my hat in the ring for the next one! The only unique thing I have to bring is the Flux Labs Mentor, but it's a good one. Otherwise just have the new Empyrean, HE1k, and Meze Elite.

Would love to meet some of you guys and enjoy some music

 

Welcome! Told Seb for future meets to give us more of a heads up! We had a small SBAF meet end of last year and lots of us who went to that one went to this latest HeadSpace one.

We love having our meets and the more folks to attend the merrier!
