Help with audio upgrade

    Hi. I have a pair of 25 year old Mirage Omnipolar OM-9 tower speakers which actually sound quite good. A Sony STR-DN 1080 receiver, a Fluance turntable with an Ortofon Blue stylus, Klipsch R-34C center speaker and Klipsch SPL-120 subwoofer. I play mostly albums these days, also home theater. I am more interested in music than tv.
    Simple question, what would be the best way to upgrade for music under 3 grand or so? Thanks!

    Hi, please don't forget to read the rules (nothing crazy here) and introduce yourself.

    In general, posts like this probably belong in one of the existing advice threads, either the all-purpose thread or the two channel thread.

    It would also help to understand what your preferences are, and what you're looking for in terms of "upgrade".
