Not sure if this is worth a thread or not it can be deleted at mod's discretion. I may be the only person that owns these as there is not much talk about them.

I bought these a few months ago and I am very impressed. Since they have come out there a few zealots that Really push them as The Chosen One, on several forums.

I was always curious about them and then Shenzhen Audio had a sale and I had some bonus dollars. I ended up getting them for $479.00US.

To me, they have a wide stage, forward mids and strong bass. I found at first, and still a little bit now, that the treble and higher end is a bit recessed. I notice it mostly with listening to horn jazz some acoustic stuff. Think Miles Davis, Donald Byrd, Freddie Hubbard, etc. Not bad by any means but not great.
With rock, pop and blues, they are awesome!

I used them for about a week to ten days and was then interrupted with the arrival of the Radiance headphones. And that lead to a whole closed back comparo.

Then it was back to the SR2's and it was on to comparo's. Started off with one of my two favourites, the Focal Elex. The Elex's have more high end and much more detail and precision. However, the stage is much more intimate and sounds a little more closed.
The SR2's sound fun, bassy and maybe even have a little grain.

I was always impressed with the bass of my Elex's, for an open back. I thought the SR2's would kill them bass wise and they did, sometimes. But on certain songs the Elex's sounded bassier.
    I REALLY enjoyed both.

Next up was my other favourite, the Grado GH2's. In this case the differences were much more stark. Grado does much better in the upper ranges and has, to me, the best mids anywhere. Going head to head wasn't really interesting as they are so different. I used each one for an hour at a time. The Grado's excelled at clarity and detail. The SR2's excelled at bass and a more "fun" presentation.
The Grado's won at jazz and acoustic stuff. The treble can get a little hot when the horns are really screaming, but I like it.
The SR2's are really at home with classic rock and blues.

I am pretty impressed with my SR2's and will likely be keeping them. I will need another month or two of using them here and there.
My chain is laptop to BF2 to Rebel/Violectric V220/iFi Pro iCAN/Little Dot MK9.
