    long story short.
I joined this forum a few years ago hoping to get some audio wisdom in my journey.
my 4 year old boy got leukemia not long after the pandemic started.
we had our 9 month post chemo checkup this week and it looks like everything is good.
thank you all for the distractions I was able to get from here through it.
you guys have no idea how much it helped.
    thank you
    Joe

I can only imagine how you feel... One of my dear friends was also diagnosed last year with leukemia but luckily she is in remission as well. All the best to you and your family!

Best wishes, @Watmough! I, too, have been impressed with how well this little dive bar and its pyrates can provide restorative, respite effect. Enjoy the music!

I'm very happy for you and your kid! My dad got prostate leiomyosarcoma diagnosed about 4 months ago and sadly he seems to be on his way out. Only 200 documented cases worldwide and it doesn't respond to just about anything. Told him to fight as long as he can and assured him that I'll take over the estate once he's not able to go on. The only thing that frightens me is how rationally and stoically I'm taking it. I'm concerned that it might frighten the rest of the family as well...

My dad is currently fighting pancreatic cancer so yeah. First took away a big part of the organ which messed up his natural digestion/enzymes. Gave him 12 rounds of chemo. And now 6 months later it's radiotherapy. I'm not sure what's next but this shit's real frightening

Best wishes @Watmough and hopefully things continue on a very positive trend.
My wife is a 20+ year cancer survivor, we very much appreciate that which you've been through and will be for years to come.

@Watmough I'm so glad your boy is doing well! As someone who has had to deal with the big C in the family for over a decade, the progress in treatment options has been very heartening. Always looking over our collective shoulder, of course, but stories like your boy's are increasingly common.

The worry never stops. During a normal screening exam an anomaly was found. She has been in for several more diagnostics and will undergo yet another one later this month. Provided she recovers enough from RSA RSV.

RSV is awful. I am so sorry for the worry you feel. Every day. I have it too. Good mental energy from me.
