    +1 for Verum, but it is 6-8 Ohm, so probably can be better driven by the variant for speakers

    I would personally prefer an amp that can manage 50-300 ohms headphones, regardless if it's planar or voice coil drivers.

    And Zampotech, you can always do like they did when transistors were introduced: use sockets, like tubes. Easy to replace a transistor when it's blown.
