    Hi Everyone,

First post here, nice to be part of the community.

Anyways as the title suggests wondering what the general consensus of the Sim Audio 280d is, if any.

I realize its an "entry" level unit but besides reading stellar (schillistic) reviews all over the place I was looking for the real goods on the unit.

Build? QC? anything you can offer about the brand in general would also be appreciated.

This seems like a good place to ask due to Marv's (as well as others) extensive DAC experiences.

Yggdrasil vs. Simaudio Moon 280D on Head-Fi.

FYI: I've been PMing back and forth with the user as we both got our Yggys at the same time last week. I respect his opinions and his experience with the Yggdrasil thus far mirrors mine. (I haven't tried a Simaudio DAC in home yet.)

I want the Sim Audio Moon Andromeda or Moon Eclipse. Both were PCM1704-k DACs/transports that were forgotten in history with Burr Brown DF1704 as the filter chip (same one used in EAD CD-1000 Series I and II, III uses the PMD100 which I own.) I think they are very obscure products since they are no longer made and are vintage.
