3 iems, a cable, and an amp supposedly out by the end of October for the iems and the end of November (or earlier) for the rest, but delays are common in audio.

The top iem (the fw01) is going to be 50,000 yen and we'll see what it goes for here.

great to hear it...thank you...radius, jvc, rha, isines (flc celeste and trinity audio with their master series both in the new yr etc.)..should all keep us happy with products that don't necessitate us to visit our mortgage broker....hopefully trickle down tech will raise up the SQ of midfi even more.

Nice, looks interesting. About $480 and the TOTL has an 11mm DD. I'm interested for sure. Never owned any of the woodies, might be my first.

JVC woodies although not the most resolving/reference sounding iems, has a very expansive soundstage that makes them very much fatigue-free and oh that realistic timbre.. :punk:

JVC's less expensive earphones tend to be a bit... odd sounding... in my experience. Hopefully these will be an improvement, bridging the gap between their entry level stuff and their higher end wood earphones.

I haven't been lusting for new IEMs, ever since my modded Fostex cheapos managed to render the rest of my IEM collection almost redundant. But JVC woodies are an exception, they just have something special going on with classical music...

Damn you AmazonGlobal, making it all too easy to order from Japan! :)

Got the JVC FW01 in and they're significantly less bassy than the FX1100/850. Still definitely north of neutral and punchy, but not skull-rattling like the older models. Plus, overall less v-shaped, with clearer mids and smoother treble.

Just a quick out of the box impression, but this is probably the best JVC stock tuning I've heard to date.

Good to know, fortunately my previous one (non-wood) was my fav up to 200€ iem, the FXT200LTD. I liked the 850 but it was too bassy for my tastes.
