    Hi all,

I have a coworker who knows I am in to audio, and offered me a Pioneer SC-25 receiver for "whatever I think is fair". According to him, it all works, comes with the remote and mic, and is in good shape. He upgraded receivers, and doesn't need it anymore.

So... since I don't need it / want it, and he was literally going to throw the thing away if I didn't take it, I thought I'd see if anyone wanted to nab this. I trust him, and know he takes care of his gear. He was using it to drive some Vienna Acoustics Grand series towers, which ones I'm not sure.

I'll pass along offers, it's up to him to accept. Price will be your offer (if accepted) + shipping + fees. Item has no warranty, sold as is. I have not personally tested it. I don't have pics. I thought I'd get all that out of the way so you know the risks. I see these are going for around $300-$550 on ebay, and as I said, he was just going to trash it, so there is a good chance for a screaming deal here for someone.

wow if I didn't just buy the 2 channel onkyo amp (arriving today) , this might be great for my tv. I could not afford what it is worth though. If he is in Denver and cannot find a buyer, I would offer something.

The only caveat to potential buyers is this is 8 years old at this point. Still solid but I think 1.3a won't do 3D or 4k over HDMI. Would jump but I use 3D on my projector.

These receivers are powerful. It has been my main for the last 5 years and is solid as a rock. You have to remember these are still built to the old specs where it will deliver full power with all channels driven. This is getting to be a rare feat in todays market.
